There's Always Something To Be Thankful For...
After three years of living down here in the Sunshine State, and a year and a half after finally selling our house in Maryland, we found a house to call our own.
These are very challenging times even before COVID-19 hit our shores. The housing inventory in Boca Raton has a tendency to get consumed before it even hits the market for the area in which we wanted. We would contact our real estate agent as soon as we would see a sign get put up only to find out that it was already under contract.
It was close to that with us as we went to see our new home on a Tuesday and had a contract accepted on Friday.
What was even more of a challenge was trying to work through the entire process of inspections, walkthrough, and closing - in the middle of a pandemic. All while Florida was the breakout hot spot of the nation. But alas, we succeed and can't be more happy at our find.
It is now Honey Do time and the list of projects gets larger. But the fact that the girls can settle into their rooms and make it a real home with security makes everything worthwhile.
“You have to find a way to respect these new boundaries (related to coronavirus), but still live the version of life you’re used to. That’s what life is, regardless of circumstance.”
